Jeeja R is a higher secondary teacher teaching English in a Kerala government school. She also taught in an inclusive classroom and found that many children have special needs and require special attention but teachers are unable to identify those needs as they are not trained to do so and are into a regular pattern of teaching.

She then started looking for a course that would train her to work with special children and she found this online course from Asian College of Teachers and decided to pursue it. While she was teaching, she came across two autistic children who happened to be a part of her class and she found it very difficult to teach them to read, write or teach them English. The situation motivated her to get herself trained to teach children with special needs and help them in learning effectively. She found the course helpful and gained a lot of knowledge and adapted various techniques to teach special children in an inclusive classroom.
